Lemon Bars
Makes 16 bars
Ingredients
1 cup butter
½ cup powdered sugar
2 cups flour.
4 eggs
1 ½ cup sugar
⅓ cup lemon juice
½ teaspoon baking powder
Directions
Crust
- Preheat oven to 350’
- Cream together butter and powdered sugar.
- Add 2 c. flour.
- Pat into a 9x9 pan and bake for 15 mins.
Filling
- Combine eggs, sugar, lemon juice, baking powder.
- Beat 4 minutes and pour over crust.
- Bake 20 minutes (no longer!).
- When completely cool, sprinkle with extra powdered sugar and cut into squares.
