True’s Famous Carrot Cake

Ingredients
Cake
3 cup flour
2 ½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cup grated carrots (fresh)
1 ½ cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
Icing
1 stick butter, melted
1 box 10x powdered sugar
8 oz cream cheese
Directions
- Mix all ingredients together well.
- Pour into three greased 9” round baking pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350’.
Optional: 1 c crushed pecans or walnuts in icing
